Topshop Mom Jeans

My new obsession: Topshop Mom Jeans. I owe this to Tanya Burr. Not Long ago Tanya vlogged some of her current favourite things. When she got onto clothing, she mentioned the Topshop mom jeans and how they were so comfy and a nice stylish change from the skinny jean. I think I've worn skinny jeans since I've been 13, blue, black, mauve and patterned any kind of Jean I have owned up until this point has been 'skinny' or even a 'tube pant.'

I went to Selfridges with my family about a week ago and decided to hunt down a pair to try on. Now I'm a petite girl, leg length 28" preferred. It turns out Topshop don't do petite Mom Jeans...*cries* so I scavenged the racks for a leg 30" guessing that a roll up will just have to do. The jeans are stiffer than the usual Leigh style i go for and pulling them on they were definitely Baggier. I love how high waisted they were, meaning I can tuck cute little tshirts in and pull the jeans in with a belt. The jeans are tapered, comfortable around the thigh and then pulling in tapered around the ankle. I chose small roll up becuase small and 2. I quite like that look right now.

So far I'm literally living in them...trying all different tops, I'm loving a plain shoulder cap tee like this grey one.

January always seems to drag with Christmas seeming so long ago and the whole month ahead is cold and snowy. So we made sure we booked ourselves on the train to Liverpool one Saturday to go and have a wonder and see our love lock.
It was a bit dreary of a day but it meant there weren't tons of tourists around, so we got to mess about and have our picture outside the magical mystery tour bus.
We had a lovely walk down to the dock and I managed to spit our love lock immediately out of of the rows and rows worth that have now been placed there. I love how it is rusting up, it's been on there nearly two years now, and you can see by the picture below just how much it's taking a battering by the Mersey weather!

We went to a gorgeous restaurant on the docks called 'what's cooking' which signatures in its meat dishes, Dan went for the BBQ rack of ribs and I had their cheese burger, both were amazingly good. I loved the chips too, they had a flavouring on that tasted like Bbq Pringles .

New Years Sales!

I love a good sale, especially when there is nothing wrong with the item, it's just old stock that needs shifting! Those little things you have had your eye on suddenly come down in price and it's an amazing feeling to snap up that bargain!

The next home sale was awesome for bargains, the Bears were only £2! And the blue bird pot also £2! I was obsessing for ages about the marble pair (it's so heavy you would not want to drop it on your foot!) the pair was about £14 but in the sale it came down to £4, and straight in my basket it went!

Forever 21 has some awesome deals, I bought a grey body con midi skirt, a gorgeous long moon and star necklace, a makeup sponge (finally) and some awesome ear cuffs all for under £20! The ear cuffs are my accessory obsession at the moment, I'm loving wearing them. I also love the clay feather decoration and grey heart pot from John Lewis in the sale! The pot was only £1!! Of course when in Birmingham a girls got to check out Victoria secret, so I treated myself to a new underwear set and saved myself over half the price, I love a good sale! Gorgeous things but for less! We finished our trip with a yummy dinner at pizza express and a cheeky box of churros! A successful day Sales shopping!

The first Saturday of the year we decided to take a trip to Grand Central, Birmingham. We scavenged round for those end of sale bargains and took a nice long look at the new station. Something I really love is all the food courts in the centre of the station. One awesome surprise was a Churro bar. I haven't had churros since L.A in 2014 but this place make them exactly the same for £3! Definitely worth a stop by!

Little Italy

Little Italy is our favourite place to go to celebrate and finishing work for the year was definitely an occasion to celebrate. We had the place to ourselves and we dined by candle light. The meal was lovely and so was the company :)

Christmas Sorting

After Christmas, there is always the task of finding a new home for our lovely gifts. I love my V candle my mom bought me. I can never find anything with a V or my name on so this is really special, I've put it on my new white floating shelf in the bedroom.

I also have loved replacing my old toiletries with these new beautiful smelling Ted Baker ones. I live their pink and rose gold finish and their floral smell. I also love the mini perfumes, especially XO.

Last Year Dan bought me some impossible project Polaroid film and we used them over Christmas to capture the day, this year we have done the same and we are building a gorgeous collection. I just thought I would share them with you as it is becoming our tradition to document Christmas with the retro Polaroid.

Christmas Eve

The most exciting time of the year. Christmas Eve. This year we invited my family over for some festive snacks and a bottle of Verve as we swapped presents and put them under the tree ready for the big day.

I've been published!

I'm so happy that's my photos from the Albrighton Extravaganza have been published on three websites this week! I took my new canon 100d out just to capture the atmosphere, it was my first year attending the extravaganza and as you can tell from my previous blogposts, anything Christmas and I'm there. Feeling very grateful to Dan for getting me the camera and very proud of myself as they were all taken on manual after learning how to use my camera at my 2 month university night course.

It's a costa Christmas

December kicks in and the mad rush to buy Christmas presents is on. Not a space in the car park, but thankfully after many laps I nip in and get started. Of course every shopping trip needs a half time break. It was time for the seasonal Gingerbread Latte. I think there should be some kind of petition to have the gingerbread flavour all year round. Especially with the cute gold stars and man popping out of my cream! And we can't forget the adorable robin cup if you order a small, or grande, or whatever it is they call it.
